Product Description:
General information
Revatio is prescribed for treatment of pulmonary hypertension. Pulmonary hypertension symptoms are increase in blood pressure in the pulmonary artery, pulmonary vein, or pulmonary capillaries, the lung vasculature, leading to shortness of breath, dizziness, fainting. It works relaxing blood vessel. As a result more blood and oxygen can be transferred reducing pulmonary blood pressure. Its main ingredient is Sildenafil. Also Revatio can be used for treatment of erectile dysfunction in men.
Directions
It is recommended to take the medicine as it was prescribed by your doctor. The recommended dose is 20 mg three times per day.
Precautions
Before starting your treatment with Revatio tell your doctor about all conditions you may have: heart attack, stroke, irregular heartbeat, or chest pain, high or low blood pressure, blood vessel disorders, problems with blood circulation, retinitis pigmentosa, liver or kidney diisease, deformation of the penis, sickle cell anemia, porphyria or cancer of the blood cells or bone marrow, stomach ulcers or stomach bleeding.
Contraindications
Children and patients with hypersensitivity to Revatio or patients who take organic nitrates can't use the medicine.
Possible side effect
Side effects can be the following: fever, flushing, headache, muscle aches, nasal infection, nosebleeds, shortness of breath, sleeplessness, sinus infection, upset stomach. If you experience any of the side effects listed above contact your doctor.
Drug interaction
Revatio can interact with the following medicines: Sildenafil drugs, organic nitrates, antifungals. Tell your doctor about all the medicine may use such as barbiturates, alpha-blockers, vitamin K antagonists.
Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time of the next intake just skip it and go back to your schedule.
Overdose
If you think you have overdosed the medicine seek emergency medical help at once.
Storage
Store the medicine at room temperature between 15-30 C (59-86 F) away from children, pets, moisture and sunlight.
