Product Description:
General information
Prozac is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Its active ingredient is Fluoxetine. It can be applied for treatment of major depression, body dysmorphic disorder and anxiety.
Directions
It is recommended to take the medicine as it was prescribed by your doctor. Take it with a big glass of water. Don't cut, crush or chew this medicine
Precautions
Before starting your treatment with Prozac please inform your doctor if you have any allergy, liver, kidney or eye problems, and bipolar confusion. Middle aged people can be more sensitive to the medicine.
Contraindications
Pregnant and breastfeeding women and patients with hypersensitivity to Fluoxetine can't use it.
Possible side effect
Diarrhea, vomiting, quick and irregular pulse, anxiety are frequent side effects. More serious side effects are rarely. If you have any of the side effects listed above you should consult your doctor.
Drug interaction
Prozac can interact with the following medicines: antipsychotics, MAO inhibitors, antiarrhythmic drugs, H2-receptor antagonists and serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs).
Missed dose
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time of the next intake just skip it and go back to your schedule.
Overdose
If you think you have overdosed the medicine seek emergency medical help immediately. The overdose symptoms are chest pain, nausea, irregular heartbeat, and feeling light-headed or fainting.
Storage
Store the medicine at room temperature between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Keep all drugs away from reach of children and pets.
